Sserwangu Fredrick, BPS Founder and Director
Known to our team as “Mr. Fred,” he is the founder and director of the Bethlehem Parent’s School and Orphanage. He started the school eleven years ago because he saw a huge need for a small, private school and orphanage in the community to take care of the increasing number of children living on the streets. Fred graduated from Makere University in Uganda with a degree in secondary education. Up until about a year ago, Mr. Fred continued to teach secondary school to earn extra money to help support BPS but now is focusing his time on assisting with the Mikwano Financial Agency, expanding BPS and preaching at various churches in the Kyotera and Bethlehem area. Mr. Fred is a highly regarded community leader throughout Bethlehem and has built trust and relationships with many people in the village. He has four children, Joel, Deborah, Kari, and Joseph.
